Sivaramakrishnan (Siva) Narayanan works on Hadoop and Hive at Qubole. He’s previously worked on query optimization and workload management at EMC Greenplum. He has a Bachelor of Engineering from BITS, Pilani, India and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The Ohio State University. Siva has several pending patents and has published many papers in academic conferences in the area of large-scale data management.
