Profile

Leo Meyerovich is a founder at Graphistry, a new startup that enables visual exploration of 2-3 magnitudes more data in the browser. Its GPU algorithms and language designs build upon his PhD research at UC Berkeley on the first multicore web browser and BS at Brown University on the first functional reactive web language (Flapjax). Past research also include secure scripting languages (ConScript, Margrave) and the sociology of programming languages. These projects have influenced the design of modern browsers and programming systems, received awards (OOPSLA Best Paper 2009 & 2013, PLDI SRC x 3) and were supported by the first Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship, NSF GRFP, and grants from Samsung, Nokia, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Intel, and others.
