Interview with Stephanie Louis,

1. Tell us about yourself and your background.

Stephanie Louis is an IBM Cloud Ecosystem Business Development Manager on the North America Channels Team. Stephanie cultivates ISV/MSP partnerships with multiple types of companies including insurtechs, fintechs, and business partners. Previously, she worked in IoT, pharmaceutical finance, and healthcare IT. Stephanie holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge Judge Business School and a BA in Government from Harvard University.

2.  What have you been working on recently?

Recently, I've been working on partnerships with some very compelling data providers and startups that are leveraging blockchain in new industries.

3. Tell me about the right tool you used recently to solve customer problem?

Watson Visual Recognition APIs have enabled our partner to successfully and rapidly turn unstructured data into structured data. This allowed them to automate work streams and devote Data Scientist time to more impactful projects.

4. Where are we now today in terms of the state of  Insurance, and where do you think we’ll go over the next five years?

The insurance industry is at a turning point, given the influx of IoT, cognitive, and predictive analytics. In the next five years, I think these trends will be implemented widely and insurance will become increasingly personalized and flexible, with on-demand policies that fit particular use cases.

5. You’ve already hired Y number of  people approximately. What would be your pitch to folks out there to join your Organization? Why does your organization matter in the world?

IBM answers the call of some of the world's most important matters, from solving cancer to keeping complex transportation systems running smoothly to security and anti-fraud. For example, IBM's latest universal quantum computing processors are the most powerful to date, and could find new solutions for logistics, medication discovery, and other complex problems not addressed by traditional computers. Joining IBM means you are not only at the forefront of technology, but you're in an organization that cares about the impact of this technology on its customers and community.
