Why we don’t talk anymore How natural language delivers the intimacy to bring customers closer

Abstract

With shops disappearing off the high street, call centers diverting customers to the web and social data frequently owned by someone else, businesses no longer talk to their customers. Who they are, why they bought a product, or what they are likely to purchase in the future, remains an enigma. This presentation looks at how natural language redresses the balance and considers the drivers behind the growth of voice based apps from both the consumer and business perspective. With examples of enterprises that use this disconnection and NLI to their advantage to grow revenues, the discussion provides insight on the pitfalls that need to be overcome and the need for holistic technology to capitalize on the opportunities.
