How conversational commerce will revolutionise how we shop.

The talk will focus on macro level changes to ecommerce, how AI assistants will completely take over the shopping experience both in store and online, and how these changes will destroy traditional market incumbents and entire industries. The talk will also present a case study into my own conversational commerce app Dispatch, which was the first of its kind in London and one of the first in the world, and give real life examples of how shopping is changing by becoming easier, faster and more convenient. Dispatch is your AI supported delivery assistant that lets you order anything by instant message and get it delivered right away. The app was the first conversational commerce app launched in London, and has seen tremendous growth since launching a little over a year ago in 2015. Our AI and human dispatchers have exchanged a hundred thousand messages with customers with requests worth millions of pounds in value and revenue on track to be over $2.5m by end 2017. Our average order value is around $180 per order and has been consistently above $125 since launch. Our active weekly buyers buy on average 1.4 times per week and spend over $250 each week. Buyers are growing at 10% avg. per week, and revenues at 18% avg. per week, which shows that our growing customer base is not only buying more often but also spending more every week.
