How to Build a Better Network of Community Care Providers Using Data

Abstract

Most of the hospitals build a network of doctors in the community they serve. A better relationship between these providers and the hospital usually mean better and faster care to the patients. This session will describe how data can be used to streamline the process of referring patients and provide access to patient charts to external community patients. The session will also describe data challenges faced and how they were addressed.

Mohamed Elmallah is the Manager of Enterprise Applications and Architecture at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. He has B.Sc. in Computer Science and M.Sc. in Software Engineering. He is passionate about Data, Agile Methodologies and Open Source. He is the author of Web Development with Oracle Portal book (Prentice Hall).
