Abstract

The presentation will cover topics on how data science can provide insights and drive actions focused towards growth, marketing and innovation for the CPG industry. These include but are not limited to customer lifetime value models, micro-segmentation, recommendation systems, social network analytics, demand driver predictions, real-time ML based media optimization and deriving value from unstructured data.

Profile

Payel Chowdhury is an Associate Director-Data Science at the Clorox Company. In her current role, she leads a data science COE in the marketing function of the company. Previously, she worked as a Chief Scientist aligned to insurance and healthcare at Genpact and Assistant Vice President responsible for treasury risk (CCAR) modeling for Citigroup. She has extensive experience in managing data science projects and teams, quantitative research and teaching, and has authored several papers. She has graduated with a PhD in Economics with specialization in applied econometrics and a MS in Statistics from University of California, Irvine.
