Applying machine Learning technique to build investment strategies.

Abstract

Algorithmic trading of securities has become a common approach in modern financial investment. The entire point of Machine Learning is to use existing historical data (indicators and qualifiers) to build models that will have high probability in predicting the direction of the securities price and to provide Long/Short/Neutral recommendations. In this presentation, I will discuss some of the must needed attributes of the ML so it can be integrated into investment strategies.

In November 2007 Eitan Cadouri founded HNL Ventures. Previously, Eitan Cadouri was the founder of WaferYield, a company that developed ML software to improve the yield and the productivity of semiconductor manufacturing. WaferYield was acquired by PDF Solutions. In July 2003 Eitan was appointed V.P. of R&D of the Physical Verification group at Cadence Design Systems, a position which he held until July 2007. In November 2007 Eitan founded HNL Ventures. Eitan has been an active investor for the last 15 years.
