Topic

SRE and adapting to the uncertainties of military conflict

Abstract

During the evacuation of allies and friends from Afghanistan, the coordination of flights depended on software that was unproven for the expected number of flights per day. After the software crashed, the SRE team and DevOps engineers resolved the issue and got the production software running in hours, enabling the largest passenger airlift in history.
